How to upload files in a particular order
This guide will walk you through uploading files in a specific order. This can be particularly useful if you have multiple exhibits that need to be downloaded in a particular sequence.
Prefix each folder in Windows with a number to maintain a specific order, e.g., “1. Exhibit A,” “2. Exhibit B,” “3. Exhibit C,” etc.
This method ensures Windows always sorts the folders in the desired order.
Tip: You can also use this approach for files within a folder if you need them in a specific order.
To maintain the order during downloads, you can zip the entire root folder and upload it as a single file.
If the compressed file exceeds 128MB, break it into smaller zip files.
Subfolders cannot be uploaded directly. If a folder contains subfolders, only the files will upload, leaving out the subfolders.
You’ll need to manually upload each folder and subfolder in the correct sequence. This will be addressed in a future version of your platform.
Select Folder Upload
In Windows Explorer, select the folder you want to upload.
Ensure the folder contains at least one file; empty folders cannot be uploaded.
Start Upload
Click the “Start Upload” button.
Once the upload completes, the button will change to “Done.”
Verify Upload
After uploading, you’ll see the folder in Immediation.
The number of files in the folder will be displayed in parentheses (e.g., “Folder Name (10)”).
*
Continue uploading each folder in the required order.
Reorder Folders:
If necessary, rename folders to change their order (e.g., rename “3. Exhibit” to “5. Exhibit”).
Set Permissions:
Ensure folder permissions are configured correctly so the relevant participants can access the files.
Permissions can be set during upload or adjusted later by clicking the pencil icon.
To reorder the files within Immediation, click on the "Filename" column header to sort them in ascending or descending order.
By following these steps, you can effectively organize, upload, and manage multiple subfolders for your project.
